10 Commandments of Meeting Etiquette & Expectations.

1. Let conveners know ahead of inability to attend or anticipated lateness.
2. Read and review the agenda and materials well ahead of the meeting, be prepared.
3. Arrive on time. Silence and set aside phone.
4. Participate appropriately – practice active listening, stay on topic, be aware of your nonverbal communication.
5. If on Zoom mute until speaking. Keep camera on.
6. Monitor your own airtime – make sure that all are encouraged to speak. When it is your turn be concise.
7. Wait until presenter is finished before asking clarifying questions, addressing issues not criticizing presenter.
8. Respect colleague’s comments and respond with curiosity.
9. Honor the dictum to never interrupt in the middle of another’s words.
10. Bring your best self.
